Pastor's Weekly Update: Sunday, June 5th
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Yesterday our Diocese celebrated the ordination of three new priests: The Rev. Brian Isenbarger, the Rev. LeeAllen Fortin, and the Rev. Mark Hellinger. Please continue praying fervently for the men in formation for the priesthood, your priests, and for an increase in priestly vocations especially in our own diocese and from our own parish.
Today we celebrate the second-greatest feast of the Church’s year, Pentecost. This feast was traditionally observed with an octave, meaning that every day this week is a celebration of a different aspect of the Holy Spirit’s work in the Church.
Corpus Christi Sunday will be two weeks from today. Remember to make plans to attend our parish Eucharistic Procession from 12-1 p.m. and/or the Diocesan Eucharistic procession in Warsaw later in the afternoon. Bus transportation will be available for the Diocesan procession from St. John’s and I highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity as it will save you a lot of time and headaches trying to park for this major event.
Next weekend is our men’s Christ Renews His Parish retreat. Participation in this retreat has been a major event in the faith life of many people in our parish. Please pray that the men attending the retreat with have a life-changing encounter with the love of God.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
Ayer nuestra Diócesis celebró la ordenación de tres nuevos sacerdotes: el Reverendo Brian Isenbarger, el Reverendo LeeAllen Fortin y el Reverendo Mark Hellinger. Por favor, sigan orando fervientemente por los hombres en formación para el sacerdocio, por nuestros sacerdotes, y por un aumento de las vocaciones sacerdotales, especialmente en nuestra diócesis y en nuestra parroquia.
Hoy celebramos la segunda fiesta más grande del año de la Iglesia, Pentecostés. Esta fiesta se ha celebrado tradicionalmente con una octava, lo que significa que cada día de esta semana es una celebración de un aspecto diferente de la obra del Espíritu Santo en la Iglesia.
El domingo de Corpus Christi será dentro de dos semanas. Recuerde hacer planes para asistir a nuestra procesión Eucarística parroquial de 12-1 p.m. y más tarde la procesión eucarística diocesana en Warsaw. El transporte en autobús estará disponible para la procesión diocesana desde San Juan y recomiendo aprovechar la oportunidad ya que le ahorrará mucho tiempo y dolores de cabeza tratando de estacionarse para este gran evento.
El próximo fin de semana es el retiro de Cristo Renueva Su Parroquia de los hombres. La participación en este retiro ha sido un acontecimiento importante en la vida de fe de mucha gente en nuestra parroquia. Por favor oren para que los hombres que asisten al retiro tengan un encuentro que cambie la vida con el amor de Dios.
