St. John School Celebrates Veteran's Day

St. John School celebrated Veteran's Day today with a special program to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. The program began with 8:00 a.m. Mass, and then was followed by a program in the school gym. The Honor Guard was present to participate in the ceremony. Two of the members of the Honor Guard showed everyone how to properly fold the flag and explained what each of the 13 folds mean. Taps was also played as a sign of respect for those who serve.

A video played showing images of the men and women from the parish who served with words from the students sharing what they believe it means to be a veteran and serve our country. John Alheim served at the master of ceremonies. This annual tradition is a beautiful reminder of the sacrifices that our men and women of our Armed Forces made for us. We are blessed to be able to honor our veterans.
