Men’s group that meets twice each month for fellowship and faith formation

Meets weekly to prepare music for Mass.

Kingdom Builders
Women’s group that meets fourth Tuesday of the month for Adoration and faith formation. Optional small faith-sharing groups are available as well

Knights of Columbus
Men’s group that meets monthly for faith formation

Moms’ Group
Meets twice a month for fellowship and to share ideas for living out the faith at home

Pancakes and Parenting
Meets once monthly January through April to share a meal and give parents an opportunity to learn more about building an authentic Catholic culture in the home

O.C.I.A.
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. A weekly class during the school year that covers beliefs of the Catholic faith. All are welcome to sit in!

The Ark
Vibrant youth group for middle schoolers and high schoolers that builds friendships and faith

Young Adult Group
A faith-building group for young adults (through age 39)

Altar Server
Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Must have first Holy Communion to serve.

Church Decorating
Decorates the church according to liturgical seasons

Flowers and Grounds
Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds

Friend to Friend
Mails greetings several times throughout the year to parishioners who are homebound or in healthcare facilities.

Funeral Dinners
Provides a comforting meal after a funeral.

Parish Library
Maintains the free lending library of spiritual books.

Proclaimers of the Word-Lectors
Faithfully proclaim the Word of the Lord by reading the First and Second Readings and the Petitions at Mass.

Pro-Life Group
Raises funds to help local ministries that promote life and organizes monthly prayer chains. Meets a few times throughout the year.

Soul Food
Cooks a meal for parishioners who have had babies, surgeries, etc.

Sacristan
Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Usher
Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Walking with Moms in Need
Walking with Moms in Need
Helps direct pregnant and parenting moms in need to local resources.

Welcoming Committee
Welcomes newly-registered parishioners to St. John’s and plans social events to build community.
